Pink or Blue?

Science is amazing.  In another week we could actually find out whether our little one is a boy or a girl.  Apparently there’s a blood test that can look through mom’s blood for traces of baby’s dna and a little “y” chromosome, meaning a boy, or a lack of the y and it’s a girl.  Amazing!  There are a few different companies that offer this service and all of them also completely back up their findings with a 100% (or in some cases, 200%) money-back guarantee.  One company only had to give 4 refunds over the last 10 years, and in each case it was due to surprise twins 🙂  I also read some doctors’ reviews of this procedure and was disappointed that most of them are against it until I figured out why doctors are against it.  Apparently most doctors fear that people would respond to this test with abortion in order to get rid of the gender they didn’t want – especially in China, where couples are only allowed to have one child and baby boys are much preferred over girls.  That, however, has nothing to do with me taking the test because I don’t care what it is, I just wanna know, and I wanna know now.

So, dear, dear readers, this is where you come in.  With medical bills and a mostly-unpaid maternity leave on the horizon, you can be the one to make it happen!  Just leave a comment with (warning: sarcasm) your credit card number and expiration date, and for the low-low price of (300) you can find out what we’re having 10 weeks earlier than if we wait and find out for free!  But who wants to be patient and save money when you can spend-Spend-SPEND!  And isn’t for a great cause?  This little baby is so TIRED of being called it!

But it does sound fun, doesn’t it?  Add it to the list of things I’d do if I were a millionaire.
